We’re getting married!

Alex Molinari

I’m in my 30’s. I love to party. I will get a matching tattoo with you.

Songs I like to sing at karaoke include: Semi Charmed Kind of Life and anything by Alanis Morissette. However, I’ve found that with Sofia, I’m excellent at the Oscar-winning epic ‘Shallows’ by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.

I fell in love with Sofia and I’m totally stoked about it.

Sofia Mercier

I’m a gemini vegetarian who loves art, nature, and travel. From West Los Angeles (go Dodgers), I moved up to Northern California to go to UC Davis (this is important for later, so take note). My go-to karaoke songs are ABBA’s Waterloo and Rob Zombie’s Dragula.

I moved to San Francisco to get my Master’s in Museum Studies, and, well, you know what they say about San Francisco, and hearts, and leaving them in places…

The Mercinari Story

We met in grad school working as Art Guides on Alcatraz for Ai Weiwei’s exhibition @Large.

Since then, we have traveled the world, adopted 2 cats (Portugal and Shadowcat), and have had too many laughs together to count. We live in San Francisco, and love to cook, camp, and climb.

We are looking forward to many more adventures together surrounded by our family and friends that we love so much.

 FAQs

AM I REQUIRED TO SHOW PROOF OF VACCINATION?

Fort Mason requires all guests to be vaccinated against COVID-19. You may be asked to show proof of vaccination upon arrival. You can send proof of vaccination beforehand to Alex or Sofia. Please note: this is subject to change based on Fort Mason, San Francisco County, California, and Federal regulations.

Do I need to wear a mask?

San Francisco does not require masking indoors at this time (May 2022). Additionally, all guests are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 for everyone’s safety. However, there will be no judgement if you will be more comfortable with a mask on. Please note: this is subject to change based on Fort Mason and San Francisco County regulations.

WHERE SHOULD WE PARK?

Parking is available on campus. However, we would recommend taking public transit, a Lyft, or an Uber!

WILL THE WEDDING BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?

The ceremony will be outdoors. Cocktail hour and the Reception will be a mix of outdoor and indoor.

WHAT IS THE ATTIRE?

Cocktail attire.

What is the weather like?

October can be very warm in San Francisco! However, since we’re going to be close to the water, it’s likely there will be some wind, especially after sunset. We would recommend bringing a layer or two!

What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?

About 24 miles per hour or 11 meters per second (for European Swallows).

Wedding Block

We have reserved a block at the Hotel Kabuki in San Francisco. If you are interested, please contact Alex or Sofia and we can send you the link for your reservation!

Other Accommodations

Of course, there are many other places you can stay. Other hotels in the area include the Holiday Inn, Infinity Hotel SF, the Fairmont (if you’re feelin fancy), and there’s always Airbnb. Feel free to stay wherever you are the most comfortable.

If you need help finding accommodations, please contact Alex or Sofia.

We hope that you are able to spend some time in this beautiful place we call home. There’s so much to see and do (and eat!) in San Francisco, but here are some of our favorites.

We don't need you to bring us gifts – we know traveling is expensive, and your presence at the wedding is enough! If you really want to give us something, a contribution to our honeymoon fund would be awesome or you can pick something from our registry. Either way thank you!
